By UPublish story by City of Kent

Beginning on Monday the City of Kent has began a project to install a new waterline on Middlebury Road from Akron Boulevard to Longmere Drive, and on Munroe Falls-Kent Road from Roosevelt Avenue to Middlebury Road. All existing water services will be reconnected to the new waterline.

Middlebury Road will be closed between Munroe Falls-Kent Road and Akron Boulevard to through traffic beginning Wednesday. The closing will be from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm weekdays. Middlebury Road will be re-opened weekday evenings and weekends.

Local traffic will be maintained as well as emergency vehicle traffic. It is suggested that local traffic take Munroe Falls-Kent Road to Akron Boulevard.

Delays should be expected during the construction, and alternate routes should be used when possible. The project is scheduled for completion by September 15,
2012.

Questions regarding the project may be directed to Cori Finney, Senior Engineer, by phone at (330) 6788106, or to the following e-mail address: finneyc@kent-ohio.org.
