As the train passed by Lake Geneva, the beautiful scenery of Switzerland revealed itself before my eyes. The rosy tint of the clouds from the sunset, the rising mountains in the distance and the soft reflection in the lake left me with an overwhelming and indescribable feeling as I looked out my window.
The six months I spent living in Switzerland and traveling around Europe sparked a continuing passion for exploration and discovery. Spending time in a different country and a completely different continent showed me the incredible amount of diversity and culture in our world. I had to adjust to a new environment, but I was excited to face the challenges, such as language barriers, head on and learn from my classmates.
In a few months, I was able to communicate with people who spoke different languages, making friends with a diverse group of people with many cultures. The experience showed me that if I am persistent and focused, I will be able to learn quickly and adapt to any situation. I found the courage to take more risks, knowing that new and exciting experiences await outside of my comfort zone.
I approach life with the belief that I should completely dedicate myself to my passions and give everything I have to the causes that are most important to me without regrets. The possibilities in life are endless, and I intend to embrace the opportunities I have by making the most out of my experiences.
Living in Switzerland helped me develop an intellectual curiosity and a desire to expand my knowledge about our world in hopes of using my education to impact society. I strive to live up to my highest potential so that I can help others in the best way possible. Armed with a positive attitude, strength of will and perseverance, I can overcome any obstacles in my way as I move forward in my journey to make a difference in the world.
