Kent woman dies of self-inflicted gunshot wound

KENT: A 22-year-old woman found Sunday in a driveway with a gunshot wound that police believe was self-inflicted has died at an Akron hospital.

The Summit County Medical Examiner's Office will perform an autopsy today.

Police responded to reports of several gunshots fired on Sunday and found the woman in the driveway of a home in the 1000 block of Vine Street at 3:46 p.m., according to Kent Police.

The woman was transported to an Akron hospital by the Kent Fire Department.

Police recovered a .45 caliber Glock pistol from the driveway.
