Kent City schools vie for makeover in contest

Kent City Schools are having a “Colorful Classrooms Contest” and will be accepting nominations through Sept. 28, according to kent.patch.com.

The winning school will be revamped by AkzoNobel and their contractors. Any Kent school can be nominated, by the cut-off date.The nomination form is available at www.glidden.com/colorfulclassroomscontest.

Judges will select five semifinalists based on a number of criteria, including: need, impact on students, and community involvment. Public voting will begin Oct.8 after semifinalists' applications are posted on the Glidden website. The winning school will be contacted on Oct. 29.
