City of Kent seeking volunteers to aid with cleanup of Cuyahoga River on Aug. 17

KENT:  The city of Kent is looking for volunteers to help clean trash and debris from the Cuyahoga River during the city’s annual cleanup on Aug. 17.

The cleaning will take place from 8 a.m. until noon in the section of the river that stretches from John Brown Tannery Park off Stow Street, south to where the river meets Middlebury Road.

The event has been a success in previous years, as hundred of pounds of debris was removed using boats and kayaks.
