Ohio Environmental Protection Agency will hold public hearing June 26

Public hearing set

BOSTON TWP.: The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency will hold a public hearing June 26 on the Cuyahoga Valley National Park’s request to discharge treated sewage into the Cuyahoga River.

The hearing will begin at 6 p.m. at the Boston Store Visitor Center, 1548 Boston Mills Road and will include an information session and a public-comment period.

The park is seeking approval to discharge up to 10,000 gallons per day of treated sewage from the new man-made sewage wetland in the park that serves the Boston Mills Historic District.
The EPA will accept comment on the proposal through July 3. Comments should be sent to: Ohio EPA, Division of Surface Water Permits Processing Unit, P.O. Box 1049, Columbus, OH 43216-1049 or by email to dswcomments@epa.state.oh.us.
